unusual blend of songwriter and producer; she has managed
to use her poetic background to create catchy yet profound
lyrical compositions that capture the spirit of an artist who
has arrived”.
Cyre’s involvement in the film industry occurred as a result
of her wanting to expand her visual and musical artistic
vision into another area. It varies from creating soundtrack
cuts and acting to production. She is a featured singer in the
film “Blazin” and the voice behind the Proctor & Gamble
“Oil of Olay” TV commercial spot.
Blazin is Cyre’s second film, having appeared with Marc
Anthony in their debut film “East Side Story”. She is an
established recording artist who topped the Billboard charts
with internationally successful hit “Last Chance”. Cyre’ was
listed in DMR Magazine as one of the top recording artists of
the era. Her songs have been heard in films distributed by
20th Century Fox, Paramount and Orion Pictures and has
written and performed the theme songs for three recent
films. Cyre’ performed the Island/Universal Music Group
released song “The Life” in Blazin as the character Mistress.
This diverse actress/singer/songwriter/dancer has
performed live and on national TV in the United States,
France, Italy and Holland; as well as a three month tour in
Israel. She also represented the US in International Song
Festivals in the Dominican Republic and Havana, Cuba. She
was invited to perform by the Pentagon for the September
11th “Americas Hero’s” tribute in Washington DC, sharing
the stage with Roberta Flack, Randy Travis and Mohammed
Ali.
Her concerts have been performed in Puerto and Hawaii and
most recently at the Beacon Theatre opening for Spain’s
Azucar Moreno. Performing Jazz, Pop, and Latin she has
received rave reviews on her vocal and musical diversity.
Cyre’ has co-hosted the Channel 7 TV show “New York Hot
Tracks” with Carlos de Jesus: former musical director of
92-KTU. Her song “Last Chance” is still on rotation at KTU!
She is recognized for her appearances on Spanish television
Chan. 41 and Chan. 9 along with a public service spot for
youth for Channel 7. She was the co-producer and Musical
Director of CBS Chan. 2 Fall 2004 season “The Nueva
Estrella/New Star awards”. As a screenwriter, Cyre’ is
currently involved in the development of a feature film
about the legendary Cuban songstress La Lupe and
“Strangelove” a spiritual sci-fi film.
